Idaho Huckleberry Lip Balm

This is actually a repurchase because I loved and used up the first one I bought.

Wasn't sure which would be better huckleberry or blueberry. WOW! I made the right choice. This bursts with huckleberry scent and flavor. So good!

I don't think I've ever had a Huckleberry, so I can't really compare this to "the real thing." But what I do know is that this does have an unmistakable, freshly-picked, plump and juicy berry flavor. In my mind it's like a blend of blackberry and raspberry.

What's interesting about this particular berry flavor is that it somehow smells tart. I love sour flavors, so I'm impressed that I can detect a hint of sour in this otherwise sweet and juicy berry flavor. To be honest, I'd love it if this flavor tasted a little sour too. I've often wondered if a bit of vitamin C powder could be added to give it a little tart kick (but I have no clue how that might interfere with the recipe).

It's worth noting that while most berry flavors typically come with a synthetic, waxy aftertaste, this formula is pure and lovely with no "weird" lingering unpleasantness.

Also, it's fun to say. Idaho Huckleberry. Idaho Huckleberry. And I love the pretty purple label.

I wasn't sure how I would like this scent/flavor, but WOW! It is a burst of berry! I love the creamy texture and light sweetness of Delight Naturals balms. If you like fruit scents/flavors, Huckleberry is sure not to disappoint.
